NBA Player Agrees To A Deal With Bucks

Forward Hakim Warrick has agreed to a one-year, $3 million deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Warrick averaged 11.6 points and 5.0 rebounds with the Grizzlies last season. However, Memphis withdrew its qualifying offer to Warrick last week, making him an unrestricted free agent. The Cleveland Plain Dealer had reported earlier Friday that the Cavs had offered Warrick their biannual exception, just under $2 million this season, plus a player option for the 2010-11 season.

Celtics Request Waivers On NBA Player

The Boston Celtics are requesting waivers on guard Gabe Pruitt. The move was announced by the team on Friday. Pruitt, a second-year player, was chosen by the Celtics with the 32nd pick in the 2007 draft. The 6-foot-4, 170-pound guard averaged 2 points per game in 62 games. He last played for the Celtics during this year's Orlando Summer League, posting an average of 10.6 points, 4.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

NBA Rookie Out 6-8 Weeks

Tyler Hansbrough could miss up to two months with a right shin injury, but the Indiana Pacers believe their first-round draft pick will be healthy enough for the start of the season. The Pacers did not provide details of the injury Friday other than to say the 6-foot-9 forward is expected to miss six to eight weeks ahead of the season. The NBA regular season begins Oct. 27. Indiana said Hansbrough hurt the shin last season, his final year at North Carolina.

thunder Signs NBA Journeyman

The Oklahoma City Thunder has signed free agent guard Kevin Ollie. The 36-year-old Ollie has appeared in 637 games over 12 seasons spread over 11 different teams. He has averaged 3.8 points, 2.3 assists and 1.6 rebounds. Last season, the 6-foot-2 guard averaged 4.0 points, 2.3 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 50 games, including 21 starts, with the Timberwolves.
